Don's Grandfather, William Holt Glenn, took this picture of Don's grandmother Iva at the wheel with his dad, aunts and uncles on the hill in the background as they crossed the desert on a wooden plank road on their way from El Paso Texas to California. William Glenn worked for the Los Angeles Metropolitan Water District securing right of ways across private, government & Indian lands to bring water into the Southern California "Desert", Los Angeles.
