The Groove Merchants, based out of Ellensburg , Cle Elum and Roslyn are breathing new life into the Eastern Washington music scene. They have a powerful Rhythm and Blues sound with a bit of Ska and Jazz on the side.
The band members include Ron Di Tomaso on vocals and guitar, originally from Montreal Canada. He is a veteran of the Seattle Music scene and brings some very good original material to the show. Chris Hull on Saxaphone. A graduate of the Music department at Central Washington University, His horn really makes it happen. ( Clarence Clemens meets James Moody ). Tony Brown, Lead Guitar. Power and taste. He brings home the rock and roll. Bob Trumpy, ( The Funkmaster ) A veteran of the Madison Wisconsin music scene on bass and vocals. And Ron Siegel on drums, another veteran of the Seattle music scene and one of the founding members of the Peace Movement Northwest Seattle Peace Concerts. (Now Seattle Peace Concerts) They will be performing Sunday Sept. 15 at Volunteer Park with The Kathy Walker Band, The Sugarbeets, Susan Robkin.
